National Transport

• HALF SPACE = 1.2m x 1.2m and no more than 1.2m high or up to 500kg gross (including height and weight of pallet).
• If Under 500kg; 1.2m3 = 1 module = HALF SPACE.
• Product over 500kg will be charged as ONE SPACE.
• ONE SPACE = 1.2m x 1.2m and no more than 2.4m high
  (including height and weight of pallet).
• If over 500kg; 1.2m3 = 2 modules = ONE SPACE.
• Product over 1000kg will be charged as the GROSS WEIGHT.
• Minimum charge is Half Space.
• For the space rate to apply the product must be palletised and shrink-wrapped - otherwise a palletising fee will be incurred.
• Persons picking up palletised product from the cold store must at the time of collection supply to Rand a one-for-one exchange on pallets; or supply Rand with your respective pallet transfer account number with either Chep or Loscam.
• Freight being transported to major chains must have pallets transferred directly to their account.
• Insurance at all times remains the responsibility of the owner of the goods.
• Freight must be booked with Rand 24 hours prior to pick-up / drop-off to ensure freight moves on the day required.
• When dropping product at, or picking up product from Rand National Transport a booking time must be organised with Rand and confirmed in writing via facsimile prior to arrival.
• Product must arrive before 12:00 noon the day of departure.
• Freight being transported to major chains must have no more than one product line per pallet.
• In accordance with our HACCP policy, product will be probed at pick-up / drop-off point as well as delivery point upon customer request.
• All pallets must be fully shrink-wrapped prior to pick-up.
• All haulage is subject to Rand National Transport normal conditions of carriage.

Cold Storage

• The appropriate instructions and paperwork must be forwarded to Rand Cold Storage before the product arrives at Rand Cold Storage or with the product itself.
• Individual cartons need to be clearly labelled.
• Individual pallets need to be clearly labelled.
• Storage charges normally include pallet hire.
• Storage charges are calculated on standard pallets (1.2m x 1.2m), being no more than 1.2m high.
• Pallets stored with more than one product line must be released as a full pallet.
• Same day priority picking attracts an additional charge.
• Waiting time will be charged if un-acceptable delays occur whilst loading or un-loading.
• Urgent deliveries attracts an additional charge on a depot-to-depot basis.
• Insurance at all times remains the responsibility of the owner of the goods.
• In accordance with our HACCP policy, product will be probed at pick-up / drop-off point as well as delivery point upon customer request.
• When dropping product at, or picking up product from Rand National Transport a booking time must be organised with Rand and confirmed in writing via facsimile prior to arrival.
• Quarterly stock-takes on the premises of Rand Cold Storage will be permitted. Access to the cold store and docking area for any other reason is prohibited without the express permission of Rand Cold Storage.
• All releases for product out of store must be in writing via facsimile and received no later than 2.00pm the working day prior to requirement. Eg. For product required Monday, Rand must receive written notification prior to 2.00pm the Friday before.
• All storage of product is in-line with Rand Transports Condition of Storage.

Distribution

• The appropriate instructions and paperwork should be forwarded to Rand Refrigerated Distribution at time of product pick-up / arrival.
• All individual cartons need to be clearly labelled.
• Individual pallets need to be clearly labelled.
• Rand will check count against delivery docket.
• Rand will temperature check product at time of arrival.
• Rand will record and notify client in case of damages.
• Product is to be picked up on the day / afternoon before product distribution.
• All product to be clearly labelled and marker with delivery name and address.
• Product is consolidated with other Rand deliveries for next day delivery.
• Maximum carton dimensions are: 450mm x 300mm x 300mm.
• Waiting time will be charged if unacceptable delays occur.
• Rand will deliver to the Perth depots of the nominated country.
• Metro boundaries include Two Rocks to the North; Mandurah to the South; Mundaring to the East - on a daily basis.
• Urgent deliveries attracts an additional charge on a depot-to-depot basis.
• Waiting time will be charged if unacceptable delays occur.
• Insurance at all times remains the responsibility of the owner of the goods.
• In accordance with our HACCP policy, product will be probed at pick-up / drop-off point as well as delivery point upon customer request.
• All distribution services are subject to Rand National Transport normal conditions of carriage.
